The Triplets finished dinner around 5:45pm. They then started their food induced insanity. It does not matter what I feed them, chocolate covered espresso beans (I would never waste them on the kids) or organic raw vegetables they go nuts after they eat.
So I ducked out to fold two loads of clothes. Then when the tornado moved upstairs I snuck back in to the kitchen to clean up.
I just got busted by Dash!
I plan and the Triplets laugh, cry and cause havoc:)
When I take the time to stop and listen to my kids I am richly blessed. I learn new things. I am reminded of the simple things in life. I am reminded of my childhood.
Take this morning for instance. I stop for a moment and hear… “bubble gum, bubble gum in a dish… how many pieces do you wish?”

You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
A friend the other day sent out an email about a recurring Thursday night meeting we attend: “I won’t make it this week due to the sacred holiday.” I thought “what holiday is after Ash Wednesday?” Then it hit me…. OH, THAT holiday.
The kids made cards for Mommy, I bought one and gave her tulips. To cap it off we are cooking my Mom and the CFO dinner tonight…. bacon wrapped shrimp lobster tails, asparagus and salad. Not that bad for an unemployed guy:)
We choose not whom we love but rather how we love.

Last Friday was my last day at my most recent contract position. Yes, I will miss being “in the game” but while I was in the game I was missing a lot at home. I keep reminding myself that we won’t get these days back with the kids and you only get one chance to raise your kids. No pressure:)
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
I like to call in sick to work at places where I’ve never held a job. Then when the manager tells me I don’t work there, I tell them I’d like to. But not today, as I’m sick.
For some reason we can never get enough pictures of our kids:) The photographer we used for our family photos, Heather Swanner, is having a contest on her blog. You will notice, our photo is very appropriate:)

To me, boxing is like a ballet, except there’s no music, no choreography, and the dancers hit each other.
I received a call last week from Triplets’ school. It seems that Dash misjudged a tunnel opening when playing at school. You may already know this, but head woulds bleed a lot. He got a pretty good scrape on his head.
It turns out that this is a common occurrence at the school after holidays. Kids do not realize how much they grow over the time away from school and WHAM…. they learn the hard way.
Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.

The CFO has taken on a new challenge…. she is going to be bilingual. Many people start learning a new language for different reasons. Her reason? A TV show. No really! She has a friend that has talked into watching a TV series with her. The only issue is that the CFO has no idea what they are saying. I interpreted the first episode but I recommended that she work on learning the language rather than relying on me. So she did.
The language?…… British:) lol! No really, she has never been able to understand the accents. The show?…. Downton Abbey.
I told her to tell people that she ordered the Rosetta Stone for British:)
One can’t go to pieces at the death of every foreigner. We’d all be in a constant state of collapse whenever we opened a newspaper.

Is getting a bit old:) I finally carved out some time to post while at the In-Laws. Between working 35-40 hours a week, the three six year olds and maintaining the “magic house” there has not been much time for other pursuits. I haven’t even been playing Battlefield 3 much. Sad, I know:)
Princess the other day said “Daddy, I wish you would quit your job.” She wanted me to help her color and did not like that Daddy was a bit busy. I did what any red-blooded American would do… I bribed her. “Sweetie, do you want to be able to go to Disney? Well, Daddy needs to work so we can go again.” Yeah, it hurt a bit but I got over it:)
Santa has a BIG surprise for the Triplets this year.
More to come!
I once bought my kids a set of batteries for Christmas with a note on it saying, toys not included.
I once wanted to become an atheist, but I gave up – they have no holidays.
Like you need a reason to like the most “fair” holiday ever! Check out this deal: http://www.chipotle.com/en-US/boorito/boorito.aspx Sorry, if you don’t have one nearby.
Yes, apart from the “evil spirit” part of Halloween I think it is the best holiday. Why? No matter where you are from, your gender, socioeconomic group, race, etc… you say “trick or treat” and you get the same thing! Oh, wouldn’t it be nice if life were the same way. But then again, we would then be socialists:)
Give unto Cesar what is Cesar’s.
I have been a bit busy… I have a new temp job working from home for my favorite industry leader:) 30+ hours a week are a bit hard to carve out:)
But all that said I am excited about Halloween! But, alas, no party as I am working. It seems the maid and yard guy also quit showing up:) I hope to post more with pics soon!
If you think your life is tough just turn on the news…. suck it up buddy:)
