Where did you learn that?

I frequently think of a song.  Yesterday I was on the phone with Red, Nuke Doc’s wife, talking about their boys’ birthday party.  I asked what I could do to help.  She asked if I could pick up the cakes.  “Sure, no problem” I said.  But, being that I am a bit A.D.H.D. I forget things a lot.  One way I combat this issue is by writing things down.  Of course then I forget to look at the list.  Yes, I know this is an issue:)  So if something is REALLY important I write it on my hand with a Sharpie.

So I should not have been surprised when the Triplets asked for me to write “cake” on their hands too.  Why don’t they pay that much attention when I am talking to them? 🙂  Oh yeah, because I STILL don’t listen to my parents, lol.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.

Hahahaha. That’s fantastic. I want to write cryptic things on my children someday. Like “courage”.
