Did I mention it is Spring Break? How in the world am I going to get it all done this Summer? 🙂 Once again… people say “it gets easier as they get older.” But I seem to be missing something. I think one of the following must be true:
- We have a different definition of what “it” is.
- Their kids must have really been a handful when they were younger.
- People ignore their kids more as they get older.
- They are not with their kids as much so it is then “easier.”
Alas, for me, none of the above are true. I fully admit that much of this is of my choosing. I could let them play video games and watch TV all day. We could put them in programs and camps all the time. But we don’t. Like I have said before. I see this as my job and unless there is a pretty good reason I don’t like other people doing my “job” for me. Glutton for punishment, you betcha!
I put all my genius into my life; I put only my talent into my works.
Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.
