Did I mention….

Did I mention it is Spring Break? ¬†How in the world am I going to get it all done this Summer? ūüôā ¬†Once again… ¬†people say “it gets easier as they get older.” ¬†But I seem to be missing something. ¬†I think one of the following must be true:

  • We have a different definition of what “it” is.
  • Their kids must have really been a¬†handful¬†when they were younger.
  • People ignore their kids more as they get older.
  • They are not with their kids as much so it is then “easier.”

Alas, for me, none of the above are true. ¬†I fully admit that much of this is of my choosing. ¬†I could let them play video games and watch TV all day. ¬†We could put them in programs and camps all the time. ¬†But we don’t. ¬†Like I have said before. ¬†I see this as my job and unless there is a pretty good reason I don’t like other people doing my “job” for me. Glutton for punishment, you betcha!

I put all my genius into my life; I put only my talent into my works.
Oscar Wilde
Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.
