Blame the parents, not the kids

It seems some no children allowed rules are getting press again.  How about a ban on rude behavior no matter the age?  I remember reading about one loud lady being kicked off a train a few months back.  Or how about the Alamo Drafthouse kicking out someone for texting (salty language.)  Neither of these had anything to do with the person’s age, it had to do with their behavior.  Punish based on the behavior.

Accountability seems to be the biggest missing piece in people’s lives these days.  Am I perfect?  No sir, I’m not but I am at least honest about it.  I “choose” things, they don’t “make” me and I don’t “have to.”  Yes, kid’s pitch fits.  Yes, there are places where that is not OK.  So do we need to ban kids from Church?  No, at our Church parents take kids out of Church when they make bad choices.  Or how about libraries?  Nope, that is up to Librarians to keep the peace.

Do I think it is OK for places to ban kids?  Absolutely.  But I would rather them ban poor behavior, bad language, and rude selfish people.  Of course there might not be many customers:)  lol!
