I just finished watching a documentary. I LOVE documentaries! You name it, I would probably like to watch it. But tonight one caught my eye… “How Beer Saved the World.” I was expecting a mocumentary. I kept waiting for the punch line, but there wasn’t one. It is a Discovery film and I am sure there are plenty of people that can argue against many of the conclusions of the film.
If you do watch it be sure to laugh or at least giggle a bit. Beer is such a two headed monster. It seems beer drove people to do great things, at the same time driving many to do horrible things to each other, even today. Sounds a bit like religion. 🙂 I love God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit but I am wary of all religions.
There are lots of ways of being miserable, but there’s only one way of being comfortable, and that is to stop running round after happiness. If you make up your mind not to be happy there’s no reason why you shouldn’t have a fairly good time.
Edith Wharton (1862 – 1937)
Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, there it enters the roots of the vines, to be changed into wine, a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy.
