Happy Valentines Day

A very Happy Valentines Day to everyone out there!  As Jackson once said, I hope everyone knows the truth of God’s love for them.

I know Valentines Day is usually flowers, candles and chocolate.  At Church the verse that the kids are studying is “Love each other as I have loved you” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  Yesterday our Preacher challenged us all to also do those things but put a caveat on it… start at home.  Ouch!

It makes me think of something a friend said at Church one day when we were talking about our kids.  He said one day his three were fighting and he said “Why don’t you just treat each other like strangers.”  How often are we nicer to people we don’t know than the people that mean the most to us?

It is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them.

In a mad world only the mad are sane.
