The Triplets went for their five year check up with the Doctor yesterday. You can tell that the CFO and I have sales backgrounds because they were actually excited about their visit! They were even arguing over who was going to get their shots first. Yes, I realize that they are only five but Jackson had two shots about a month ago so he knew what he was in for. We were also VERY honest with them. We told them it would hurt, they were getting four of them and some of their blood may come out. Of course we did stack the cards in our favor with the promise of Happy Meal after the visit. Note… the kids only get the dollar menu when we rarely go to McD’s. Happy Meals are only for after shots:)
Bruiser went first. He cried a little. Less that most kids but more than I expected. He got over it quickly. Princess was next. She grimaced but that was it. No crying and no tears. MAN is she tough! Dash was last and cried like you would expect most kids to. It didn’t help that he was last and he tightened up after the first shot. It also didn’t help that the nurse put the needle to the skin then pushed it in. It is MUCH better to throw it in like a dart. Not too hard, but hard enough to get it in quickly.
As soon as we hit McD’s all was forgotten. Never mind that we spent almost as much as we do having dinner at our favorite restaurant, Chuy’s.
I wondher why ye can always read a doctor’s bill an’ ye niver can read his purscription.

It is a mathematical fact that fifty percent of all doctors graduate in the bottom half of their class.
