I am going to play golf this week for the first time in oh, say about…. 15 years. The last time my clubs saw play was at the Kiawah Island Ocean Course. I believe it was the eleventh hole when I picked up my ball and enjoyed the rest of the walk. I figured there were less expensive ways to get frustrated for four hours:)
It has taken divine intervention to get me back on the links… a Church Golf Tournament that I am involved in. Who knows, maybe I will like it again. I just hope everyone who lives on the course keeps their kids inside and they have shatterproof windows:)
Every man serves a useful purpose: A miser, for example, makes a wonderful ancestor.
Laurence J. Peter (1919 – 1988)
If there is any larceny in a man, golf will bring it out.
